Human Conflict

Koumori Dojo teaches a proprietary martial art that is a combination of techniques from Wing Chun Kung Fu, Jiu-jutsu, and Aikido.  Students practice for two hours per day, every day.  Special emphasis is given to escape, evasion, and the management of multiple targets.

First-year students learn unarmed techniques.  Second-year training begins to incorporate weapons; all students learn multiple different weapon disarms, but students are not specifically taught gun or knife technique.  Koumori Do, for the purpose of both expertise and to establish non-lethal and silent practices, trains with ONLY the STO (Small Thrown Object; a trademarked object specifically manufactured by Koumori Dojo from high-strength tool-steel, used as a distraction and deterrent in high-risk and multiple-target scenarios) and the rope-and-grapnel.

Fourth-year students, in addition to continue with hand-to-hand techniques, STO and rope-and-grapnel, also learn basic paramedic procedures.  After the fourth year, all students of Koumori Dojo are certified paramedics.

Multiple-target management techniques begin in the third year, and are the most difficult and most important techniques required by students of Koumori Do.
